13: Who

Mirrored

And we all catch a second of detest

but cannot see the mirror first imposed

try to contain time’s melting in the chest

of rhinestone bordered vacancy enclosed

Reflected most clear is the start of it

ten selfish fingers grasping vanity.

Then scars on scars which now so scarcely lit

show sanity as first insanity.

the armchair handed leaves of ordered time

a magazine subscription of self-hate

but glass cannot show bloodied paradigm

she shattered glass in memories not late.

impossible dissection of  the past

here not to catch the first but hear the last.
